Title: Boomer's 7 Year Anniversary - All is Well
Post by: Boomer on June 12, 2019, 10:21:26 AM
Yesterday marked the seven year anniversary for my second hip resurfacing. I'm partially retired now. Living in Colorado allows me to do something outdoors almost every day. My recovery was very methodical, so it took me some time to regain the activities I enjoyed before OA slowed me down. I bike a lot, hike in the mountains, lift weights, have a SUP and just this year returned to skiing, which for some reason I was afraid to do in prior years. I don't ski very well, but I do get down the mountain. My hips are fine now. I've taken a couple of falls off of my mountain bike that scared me, but the hips were fine.

I don't believe that my hips limit me in any way now. That's quite remarkable when I think back to how crippled I was prior to my surgeries.

Life is good!

Congratulations on your 7 year anniversary. Always great to hear from the alumni! So glad things are going well - as they should.
Thanks for sharing your story.  Good Luck. I hope to read about many more anniversaries.
