My surgery was October 24th, 2011, and today was my one year checkup. I knew things were going to come out well because we were able to get on the LAST flight out of Albany, NY yesterday morning, going through Detroit to Charlotte. Sandy wasn't able to stop us!
Dr. Gross and Lee Webb told me the x-rays were "perfect" and that my left (unoperated) hip was going to give me "lots of years" before needing any kind of an operation. I have held off with any running and gave up some of the more extreme activities (barefoot water skiing) for a full year. Dr. Gross said I was good to go with both activities but I am glad to have given it a full year.
My wife and I are enjoying a cool Charleston SC evening before heading to Jacksonville FL to visit family for the next few days.
Steve
Well done Steve. Not sure if the biggest achievement is your 1 year anniversary or getting out of NY before hurricane Sandy!?
That's great, Steve. Nice avoiding Sandy, a friend of mine by that name is catching a lot of trash right now.
You have got to post pictures of you barefooting it. Have fun, isn't it nice to get the all clear?
